PURPOSE: A door cover locking device for a washing machine is provided to carry out the dual locking/safety system by a push button and a safety lock when closing a door cover to a main body of the washing machine, thereby carrying out safe locking operation and simplifying the structure, reducing the required parts. CONSTITUTION: A door cover locking device for a washing machine in which a bundle of keys(5) are moved by a solenoid(3) to be driven by an electric signal from a main body of a washing machine and a spring(4) to be held by or released from a hook(7) mounted to a door cover, wherein insertion front-end part(5a) of the key bundle penetrates the insertion hole of a push button(8) by passing an insertion groove(100) of a safety lock(10) to be inserted into or deviated from a locking hole of the hook. |
