PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a blood compatible composite capable of imparting the antithrombogenic properties and low hemolytic properties suitable for therapeutic appliances in contact with blood to the appliances. SOLUTION: The blood compatible composite consists of an organic cation compound into which an ammonium salt expressed by chemical formula (1) is at least partly included and a heparin or heparin derivative, and the blood contact therapeutic appliance is formed by imparting the composite described above to at least a portion of the blood contact surface of the therapeutic appliance in contact with the blood.
