PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-piece solid golf ball having uniform carry characteristics. SOLUTION: This golf ball is provided with an elastic solid core 1 and a resin cover 3 formed with a urethane-based elastomer as a main material and provided with many dimples 2 on the surface to cover the solid core 1 and an intermediate layer 4 is disposed between the core 1 and the cover 3. For the dimples, 330 to 400 pieces of circular dimples whose diameter is at least 3.7 mm are provided, the total volume of the dimples is 330 to 380 mm<3> and the dimples are practically equally disposed to the ball so that a large circle not crossing the dimples is not present or one large circle is present.
