<p>A system for patching a destination surface (28) to match an existing texture pattern (26). The system comprises texture material (22), a tube member, and a sponge member (44). The texture material comprises a base (36), a carrier (40), and particulate material (38). The tube member (30) contains the texture material and defines a container opening (64) through which the texture material may flow. The sponge member (44) defines an applicator surface and a sponge opening (46). The sponge member (44) is secured relative to the tube member (30), and the texture material is forced out of the tube member (30) through the container opening (64) and the sponge opening (46) and onto the applicator surface. The applicator surface of the sponge member (44) is brought into contact with the destination surface (28) to transfer texture material on the applicator surface to the destination surface (28).</p> |
