PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seaweed dainty having good crispiness, chewiness and a thick-wall texture while maintaining a flavor of the seaweed. SOLUTION: This method for producing the seaweed dainty comprises the following steps. a boiling step of boiling a seaweed paste made from raw algae of brown algae such as Undaria pinnatifida or a sea tangle as a main raw material with at least agar together, a hardening step of casting the seaweed paste boiled in the boiling step into a formwork, cooling and hardening the paste, a drying step of taking out the hardened seasoned seaweed paste from the formwork and drying the taken out hardened paste into the form of a sheet and a cutting step of cutting the dried seasoned seaweed sheet into a desired shape and size and providing the seaweed dainty. Since the resultant seaweed dainty is based on the seaweed paste, the seaweed dainty has the good cripsiness, elasticity and moderate chewiness due to the agar binder and the thick-wall texture while maintaining the flavor of the seaweed. |
