PURPOSE: A method of controlling a receiving signal sound of a portable phone is provided to comparatively analyze originated information when a receiving signal is received, and to automatically cut off a receiving signal sound when the information is not registered, thereby automatically cutting off an unwanted call. CONSTITUTION: A control device analyzes originated information when a signal is received, and decides whether the information is identical with registered information(S105). If so, the control device informs a user that a call is received by outputting a receiving signal sound(S103). If the information is not identical with the registered information, the control device outputs a message of inputting a password(S106). The control device analyzes the inputted password(S107). If the password is correct, the control device outputs a receiving signal sound to inform the user of a call. If the password is not correct, the control device transmits a message of recalling(S108), and cancels a connected state(S109).
