PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling a tilt of an optical recorder disc drive is provided to maintain a perpendicular angle between the optical axis of a pick-up and the information recording face of a disc and to simplify the configuration of the tilt controlling apparatus. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for controlling a tilt of an optical recorder disc drive includes a driving motor, a pick-up base controlling member(80), and a power transmitting member. The driving motor is placed on a spindle base(10) combined with a pick-up base(20) including a pick-up(23) using a hinge. The pick-up base controlling member is formed in a predetermined shape and has a male screw(82) at one side. The male screw is inserted into a screw hole formed at one side of the pick-up base and rotatably combined with the spindle base. The power transmitting member transfers the forward or reverse rotation force to the pick-up base controlling member to allow the pick-up base controlling member to move the pick-up base.
