PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal structure of a coverlet which is capable of well maintaining the feel of use, such as hand and draping properties, and is capable of preventing thinning by cleaning treatment, such as laundering, by attaching a foamed urethane sheet improved in the draping properties by putting a multiplicity of short-sized cuts over the entire surface between upper and lower cotton sheets consisting of various kinds of cotton. SOLUTION: The internal structure of the coverlet formed by covering the cotton sheets 1 processed with various kinds of the cotton to a prescribed thickness over the entire surface by outer fabrics 12 comprises the foamed urethane sheet 18 which constitutes at least single layer and is improved in the draping properties by putting a multiplicity of the short-sized cuts 20 over the entire surface and the two cotton sheets 16 and 16 which sandwich the foamed urethane sheet 18 one above the other.
