A girdle or pantie girdle has secured along its lower edge a first elastic band and a second elastic band which may be integral with the first provided with spaced slits for receiving the hooked portions of detachable suspenders. In Fig. 2, two elastic bands 22, 23 are secured together by continuous upper and medial seams 25, 24 and by interrupted stitching 26 adjacent their bottom edges. The spaces 27 between the stitching lines 26 form channels for the hooked portions 35 of suspenders 21. In a modification the stitching 26 is continuous and spaced slits are provided in the outer band 23.
