Composite plastic fruit packages - of wood chip impregnated with hardenable vinyl resins

A package with recesses for fruit is formed from wood shavings impregnated with vinyl resins and a hardener. The package is permeable to air and has flexibility and deformability such that the fruit is protected but undamaged by erosion. A wood compsn. is impregnated with vinyl resin and hardener with the conditions and amount of hardener adjusted to give greater or less flexibility. The bottom of the package may be strengthened and paper placed over the top.
