Seismic data migration including extrapolating wavefield between first and second levels and generating intermediate data points between d levels

A method of migrating seismic data is provided. The seismic data has associated therewith a wavefield at a first level. The method comprises extrapolating 105 the wavefield from the first level to a second level; correcting 110 the extrapolated wavefield; computing 115 intermediate sample points for an output image between the first and the second levels; computing 120 a contribution to the wavefield at each intermediate sample point; and summing 125 the contributions to the wavefield at each intermediate sample point.
