PURPOSE: A system and a method for processing an input signal of a digital TV are provided to judge the input signal by a microcomputer even if an input terminal is erroneously connected, to automatically process the signal. CONSTITUTION: A system for processing an input signal of a digital TV includes a signal input unit(10) for receiving analog and digital video signals, a synchronous signal separator(20) for separating a horizontal synchronous signal from the video signals, and a converter(40) for converting the analog video signal into a digital video signal. The system further includes a microcomputer(30) for outputting a control signal according as the horizontal synchronous signal is received from the synchronous signal separator or not, a switch(50) for selectively outputting the analog and digital video signals according to the control signal of the microcomputer, and a video processor(60) for processing the video signal output from the switch to display the signal on a screen. |
