TRAVELING WAVE TUBE WITH IMPROVED ASSEMBLABILITY

PURPOSE: A traveling wave tube is provided to achieve structural stability and improved reliability of electrical contact between the center pin and helix wire, while lengthening useful life of the traveling wave tube. CONSTITUTION: A traveling wave tube comprises an electron beam generating unit; an RF input unit having a first center pin(7) for inputting RF applied from an external source; a slow wave circuit having an outer periphery where magnets for focusing the electron beam generated from the electron beam generating unit are arranged in an axial direction, and an inside where a helix wire(8) for transmitting RF, wherein the slow wave circuit permits a mutual action between the electron beam and RF to obtain an electronic wave energy; an RF output unit having a second center pin for outputting the electronic wave energy obtained through the slow wave circuit; and a joining member for joining an end of the first center pin and an end of the helix wire of the slow wave circuit, and joining an end of the second center pin and the other end of the helix wire of the slow wave circuit. The first center pin has a groove(12) formed in a widthwise direction, and the end of the helix wire is inserted into the groove and welded.
