PURPOSE: A cover device for housing a spare tire is provided to open a housing cover of a spare tire housing part inside a trunk room by elastic force at the same time as draw aside a trunk mat and accordingly to easily pull out the spare tire. CONSTITUTION: A cover device for housing a spare tire is composed of a housing part(23) concavely introduced in the center of a trunk room(20) to house the spare tire, a pair of guide grooves(25) arranged to correspond to both sides of the housing part, a housing cover(27) of which a side is fixed to the front of the trunk room and is connected to other side thereof to continuously fold, the housing cover forming a guide part(31) to slide along the guide groove at a vertically lower end in being folded, and an elastic member(33) of which an end is combined to the guide part of a panel and other end is fixed to an inner front end of the guide groove to elastically fold a plurality of panels.
