PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for monitoring a lubricating oil leakage in a can's seamer capable of monitoring the lubricating oil leakage passing through the oil seal in the can seaming device in the pre-step of the oil flow in an engaging clearance between a fixed section and a rotating section and capable of completely preventing the generation of defective products originating in lubricating oil leakage from occurring. SOLUTION: On the upper section of the inside tubular wall 15 of an oil sump 18 in the bottom section of a seaming head housing 12, an oil seal 22 is fixed so that a lip tip end contacts an annular concave top surface 23 of the rotating section and an annular step surface 25 is shaped between the oil seal 22 and an engaging clearance 20 and on the annular step surface, one or plural holes are bored to form an oil leakage confirming channel 28. The exit 30 of the oil leakage confirming channel 28 is provided in the bottom section of the seaming head housing 12 and the lubricating oil out flowed over the oil seal can be confirmed by outflowing the lubricating oil to the oil leakage confirming channel 28 before arriving at the engaging clearance 20.
