X-RAY CT SYSTEM, GANTRY DEVICE AND OPERATION CONSOLE THEREFOR, AND CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CT system capable of obtaining the same level of image quality for two kinds of tomographic images differed in slice thickness provided by asymmetric scanning, a gantry device and operation console therefor, and control method therefor. SOLUTION: A filter for adjusting spectral distribution and/or intensity distribution of X-ray is made to have a structure where two areas of a first with high X-ray attenuation ratio and a second area with X-ray attenuation ratio lower than the first area arranged in z-axial direction. The position of the filter is controlled so that the X-ray beam passed through the first area is radiated to one detector line A and the X-ray beam passed through the second area is substantially radiated to the other detector line B, thereby, the difference between the X-ray doses radiated to the detector lines A and B is minimized.
