PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric water heater by which liquid spilt over an upper frame does not wet a power feeding part. SOLUTION: A through hole 7 communicating with the outside of a container except for the upper part of the power feeding part from an upper frame upper end part 2a is formed at an upper frame 2. Thus, when the liquid is spilt, the liquid is discharged stably to a position having no influence to the power feeding part through the through hole 7 to the outside of the device.
