A fuel cell including at least one unit fuel cell including a hydrogen gas path forming plate (6) having a plurality of openings (9), (12) and (13), an oxygen electrode plate (1) having a proton conductor film (45) and a plurality of openings (22), (23) and an air flow path forming plate (26) having a plurality of openings (21), the hydrogen gas path forming plate, oxygen electrode plate and the air flow path forming plate layered together in this order; at least two selectively disconnectable interconnection pins A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H being formed on a peripheral portion of the hydrogen electrode plate (1) and on a peripheral portion of the oxygen electrode plate (21).
