PURPOSE: Provided is a flexible space filler having a Biocleanact which is inserted into a dead space to prevent infection. CONSTITUTION: The flexible space filler includes a Biocleanact and has a shape of a long strip. Also, it has a tag or knob at its end so that it is readily and conveniently removed by a surgeon using tweezers without anaesthetizing a patient. The flexible space filler is inserted into a body to fill a dead space, which may be otherwise infected. Since the flexible space filler contains a Biocleanact or derivative thereof which shows antibiotic activity, it prevents infection of the body after surgery.
