PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the occurrence of electrifying irregularity and the occurrence of an abnormal image caused when toner is excessively stuck and mixed with respect to the electrifying member, and to eliminate such a problem as the electrifying irregularity caused by contact instability by the secular decrease of magnetic particles constituting a magnetic brush, and as the occurrence of the abnormal image of stripe caused by the mixing of the magnetic particles detached from the magnetic brush into a developing means when the electrifying member is the magnetic brush so as to keep excellent image formation for a long time. SOLUTION: This image forming device forms an image by electrifying a body 1 to be electrified by contact electrification, form an electrostatic latent image on the electrification processed surface of the body 1, visualize the electrostatic latent image as a toner image by the developing means 4. When a voltage impressed on a contact electrifying member 3 is defined as Vdc, the electrifying voltage of the body 1 is defined as Vs, the equation of ΔV=|Vdc-Vs| being difference between them is controlled to differ between in the case of image formation and in the case of non-image formation. |
