PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform limitation of a vehicle speed to a value within a given range even when creep running is effected in a case of an engine cooling water temperature being low. SOLUTION: The number of idling revolutions of an engine 1 is set to a value higher than the number of revolutions of an engine after warming-up when an engine cooling water temperature is low. However, during creep running of a vehicle and when an engine cooling water temperature is low, a motor controller 13 drives an electric motor 3 as a generator, and by exerting a regenerative control force on the output shaft of an engine 1, a car speed is controlled to a value within a given speed range. Thus, during creep running, there is no need for a driver to frequently step on a brake, and drive operation is facilitated. Further, since car speed during creep running is controlled to a value within a given speed range, during a shift exchange (for example, conversion from an N range to a D range or to an R range), a high shock is prevented from being generated and smooth shift conversion is practicable. |
