PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charcoal chip production apparatus nonproblematic in the deposition of clinkers on the surface of the inner wall of a carbonizer body and on a cylindrical rotary body and therefore excellent in the easiness of maintenance. SOLUTION: This apparatus comprises: a heat-resistant plate 61 having a plurality of through-holes for gas passage and provided on the entire periphery of the surface H of the inside wall of a carbonizer body 57 so as to leave a 1-10 cm spacing (s) between the plate 61 and the surface H; a means W for supplying air from the outside of the body 57 into the inside of a cylindrical rotary body 60 having gas passage holes R; a means D for freely detaching the body 60 together with a bottom plate 58 from the body 57; and a horizontally moving means E for vertically moving the plate 58 and the body 60 to a holding space preformed below the body 57 and is adapted so that the durability may be improved and the maintenance work may be performed efficiently by preventing clinker deposition by lowering the temperature, by supplying air into the spacing (s) between the plate 61 and the surface H and into the inside of the body 60. |
