PURPOSE: To obtain a pile-forming device corresponding to the high speed operation of the loom so that a main cam lever can be switched from a position exhibiting a terry amount of zero into a position exhibiting a terry amount of some value by the cooperation of an auxiliary cam lever, a motion transmitter, and a switch-driving mechanism. CONSTITUTION: A terry motion cam 22 and an auxiliary can 23 are attached to a driving shaft 20 in a cam box 19, and a support shaft 24 for fixing and supporting a main cam lever 28 and a support shaft 28 for movably supporting an auxiliary cam lever 29 are disposed parallel to each other. A position-controlling lever 26 controlled with a position-determining bolt 37 is attached to the projection end of the support shaft 24. When the first picked state is continued, a motion-transmitting lever 31 is disposed at a non-transmitting position with a switch-driving mechanism 35, and the main cam lever 28 is fixed to a position exhibiting a terry amount of zero with the position-controlling lever 26. Only an auxiliary cam lever 29 is thus reciprocatively moved. When transferred to a loose picking state, the motion- transmitting lever 31 is disposed at a motion-transmissive position through the switch- driving mechanism 35, and the main cam lever 28 is switched to a position exhibiting a terry amount of some value. |
