The present invention refers to means employed for guaranteeing the gas content of a gas tank of distribution to the public consumer. Specifically, is related with a guarantee band for gas tanks as safety seal for guaranteeing the gas content in distribution gas tanks for the consumer, which allows guaranteeing largely the level of content and the good maintenance of the accessories such as the tap and the plugging of the gas tanks; it is characterized by consisting in an extruded PVC tube comprising plastic memory, of opaque material with at least one window of transparent material, composed of a vertical or transversal strip, preferably vertical and of an equal thickness, smaller or larger than the rest of the extruded tube, being two strips vertically disposed and diametrically opposed in said tube of extruded material, in order to allow visual verifying the condition of the tap and plugging.
