The present invention refers to n electronic system employed for counting passengers in urban transport buses, characterized for consisting in a photocells module conformed of a chassis wherein two photocells are fixedly housed one up and the other down, as well as the electronic circuit, being said chassis in vertical position and fixedly disposed in one ascending step of the bus, fastened in a vertical tube through clamps, comprising, furthermore two reflectors disposed each of them in front of each photocell and being said reflectors fixedly mounted in a vertical bar placed in front of said photocells module; this module also contains, a connector which can be plugged where a reader or portable browser which extracts information and shows it in a liquid crystal display, finally this equipment is electrically fed by the bus electrical system.
