Compounds represented by the general formula (I) or salts thereof wherein -X --- Y- is -CH=CH-, -CH2-CH2-, or the like; the symbol ---- between R1 and the 4' - position carbon atom represents a single bond or a double bond; and the symb ol ---- between R2 and the 5-position carbon atom represents a single bond or a double bond, for example, (1) when -X---Y- is -CH=CH- or -CH2-CH2- and the symbol ---- between R1 and the 4'-position carbon atom represents a double bond, R1 is =C(R11)(R12) (wherein R11 is lower alkyl or the like, and R12 is hydrogen or the like) or the like, and R2 is hydroxyl or the like, or R2 together with the 5-position carbon atom represents carbonyl, or (2) when -X --- Y- is -CH=CH- or -CH2-CH2- and the symbol ---- between R1 and the 4'-positio n carbon atom represents a single bond, R1 is -OCH(R1a)(R1b) (wherein R1a is lower alkyl or the like, and R1b is hydrogen or the like) or the like, and R 2 is hydroxyl or the like.
