摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent reactive power capacity of a generator and a synchronous capacitor, etc., installed at a node in power system from needlessly increasing and improve economical efficiency. SOLUTION: In a method for calculating the reactive power capacity required for a reactive power generating and absorbing facility installed at the node in the power system, the facility is installed at the node that a voltage deviates from a lower limit and an upper limit of an operational voltage, the reactive power capacity which matches the lower limit of the operational voltage with a value that a voltage variance is subtracted from a voltage mean, or matches the upper limit of the operational voltage with a value that the voltage variance is added to the voltage mean so as to maintain the voltage mean of the node within a correct range, is calculated by probabilistic tide calculation and considered as the reactive power capacity of the facility.
