PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent degradation in the reception characteristics caused by fading at the reception side, and to prevent degradation in the characteristics due to increase of the number of matched filters and increase in interference. SOLUTION: A control channel signal is inputted to data modulation circuits 301 and 302, respectively, and data modulation is conducted. A long code LCj and a short code SC0 are multiplied to the output of a data modulation circuit 301, and the long code LCj and a short code SC1 are multiplied to the output of a data modulation circuit 302. At a search code multiplex unit, a short code CSC is added to a group identification code GICj, and multiplexed to either of control channel signals by switching a switch (TSW) 308. A switch (SW0) 309 and a switch (SW1) 310 turn on at a predetermined timing, and the short code CSC and the group identification code GICj are multiplexed on the control channel signal at this timing.
