PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable displacement vane pump minimized in the fluid loss generated in limiting control of flow rate. SOLUTION: A pump delivery port is divided into two first delivery port 11 and second delivery port 12, and an orifice diaphragm 13 is provided on the first discharge port 11 having the smaller port area. The flow delivery according to the increase in rotating speed of the pump is guided to a control valve 14 for detecting a differential pressure generated in the orifice diaphragm 13 and driving it at a prescribed differential pressure or more, the pressure oil delivery from the control valve 14 is applied to a control piston 9 through an oil passage 15, and a cam ring 2 is pressed against a bias piston 8 pressed by a spring 7 to reduce the eccentric quantity e of the cam ring 2, whereby the flow rate is regulated to a prescribed flow rate.
