MULTIBEAM SCANNER AND IMAGE FORMING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct a beam pitch without adversely affecting other beam characteristics in an image forming device for forming an image by an electrophotographic process by using a multibeam light source device and an optical write-in device using the light source device. SOLUTION: A light source device 1 is constituted by holding a 1st light source part 14 and a 2nd light source part 24 constituted by holding two semiconductor lasers and coupling lenses by base members 13 and 23 by a holder member 31 and holding a beam synthesizing prism 32 by a supporting member 5 in the image forming device, which is provided with a beam pitch detection means for detecting the beam pitch of respective beams on a surface to be scanned and a beam pitch correction means correcting the beam pitch by rotating or inclining any of the 1st light source part 14, the 2nd light source part 24 and the light source device 1 according to the detected result by the beam pitch detection means.
