To avoid making a D.C. connection to the chassis of a television receiver to record the signals, capacitative couplings 5, 5A are made to the anode of the final I.F. stage and to the chassis respectively, Fig. 1, and the modulated signal, which contains no D.C. component amplified and detected at a later stage 1.
