PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide folding terminal equipment, with which troubles caused by sandwiching foreign materials can be prevented. SOLUTION: When a fold detection switch 117 of a manipulator part 2 is pressed by a fold press part 118 of a display device part 1, detects that a portable telephone terminal is folded and detects that an operate key of a key operating part 114 not to be operated during when folded is pressed, it is highly possible for the foreign materials to be sandwiched between the display device part 1 and the manipulator part 2 so that such a state can be reported to a user by alarm sounds or the like.
