PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the electrical contact and the strength of fixation between a connecting terminal and a wire. SOLUTION: A circumference-caulking connecting terminal 1 for caulking the whole circumference of a wire connection comprises the wire connection 2 having a wire insertion hole 5, in which a contacting projection 6 extending in the length direction of the wire is provided. The contacting projection 6 is in the center of the wire insertion hole 5 and is a cylinder having an initial length H that is about 1/3 of the length of the wire insertion hole 5. According to a connecting method of the circumference-caulking connecting terminal for connecting the circumference-caulking connecting terminal 1 to the core wire 11 of a wire 10, the core wire 11 is inserted in the wire insertion hole 5 to make the contacting projection 6 penetrate the core wire. In this state, the wire connection 2 is caulked in the radial direction on the whole circumference by a circumference-caulking mean applying a uniform force along the circumference.
