STEREOSCOPIC IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stereoscopic image display device which can expand a stereoscopic view area with no vertical crosstalk when a stereoscopic view is made by using a polarization control plate and enables an observer to have a stereoscopic view with small fatigue. SOLUTION: The stereoscopic image display device is equipped with the polarization control plate constituted by dividing two parallax images for the left eye and right eye into many lateral striped parallax images and repeatedly arraying two stripes which correspond to the respective lateral striped parallax images and have different polarizing directions of luminous flux, based upon a display displaying a composite image generated by arraying the lateral striped parallax images vertically and repeatedly in specific order at specific intervals corresponding to the two parallax images, vertically at specific intervals and a barrier which has striped openings between the polarization control plate and a display.
