PRODUCTION METHOD FOR AROMATIC POLYCARBONATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an aromatic polycarbonate having no change in a terminal group ratio of polycarbonate after starting the production and having no discoloring, by using a stainless steel-made reactor. SOLUTION: A stainless steel-made reactor is rinsed with a solution containing a basic compound in a specific concentration and an aromatic hydroxy compound and then, the aromatic dihydroxy compound and diaryl carbonate are reacted to obtain the aromatic polycarbonate.
