The utensil consists of a straight rod (1) of stainless steel with its end (2) bent at an angle of 140 degrees, a small spiral rod (3) attached to the tip of the straight rod, and a ring (4) with its axis inclined at 65 degrees to the rod. When the tip of the rod is inserted into a vegetable such as a potato and rotated the ring follows the trajectory of the small spiral rod and cuts a spiral hole in the vegtable.
