PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method, that can make the color of a printed image match a color of a color sample of a color chart, without a huge amount of color chart database for a client side and to provide an image forming system, and to provide its control method. SOLUTION: The imaging system of this invention interconnects an image processing unit having a color charts comprising information of a plurality of index colors with a host computer that instructs imaging, on the basis of the color chart, and the host computer uses a color picker 414 to select an optional index color from the color chart in the image processing unit and to acquire the information, stores the information as color chart data 452, and issues an image drawing instruction, on the basis of the color chart data 452. |
