<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage device comprising a plurality of memory elements by which the current consumption during data processing can be reduced in response to the usage and the data processing speed can be improved. SOLUTION: A command identification unit 1a identifies a command CMD from a host H and outputs a command identification information ID thereof to a control mode decision unit 4. The control mode decision unit 4 decides the number of flash memories operating in parallel in response to the command identification information ID and transmits the decision value by means of a control mode signal M to a flash memory control unit 2. When the decision value is '2', the flash memory control unit 2 executes writing/reading of data in parallel for two flash memories 3a and 3b in a memory unit 3. On the other hand, when the decision value is '1', the flash memory control unit 2 executes writing/reading of data alternately for the flash memories 3a and 3b.</p> |
