PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slot antenna, manufactured at a low cost in a simple manner and is capable of continuously rotating the polarization direction of radiated electromagnetic waves. SOLUTION: The slot antenna is constituted of a power feed waveguide (1) extending lengthwise for conducting an electromagnetic wave, and at least one slot (2) is formed at a wide wall face of the power-feed waveguide (1) for radiating the electromagnetic waves. The slot (2) is covered with a mechanism for rotating the polarization direction of the electromagnetic waves, radiated from the slot (2) around the power-feeding waveguide (1). The slot (2) is formed lengthwise to the power feed waveguide (1). The mechanism for covering the slot (2) is a rectangular polarization waveguide (11). One opening of the polarization waveguide (11) is coupled with the wide wall face (4) of the power feed waveguide (1), and the other opening has a hollow space, and a wave- guided wave excited in the polarization waveguide (11) is radiated from the slot (2) via the hollow space.
