PURPOSE: A switching system interworking method in an ISDN is provided to perform the same number system function, mutual extension transmission and reception, mutual office line use and mutual office line switching functions by connecting two simple switching systems. CONSTITUTION: Serial numbers of each key telephone system are registered in a memory(S1). An 'A' side central control circuit receives a dialing signal corresponding to a function button(S2) and reads the serial numbers stored in the memory(S3). If the dialing signal is for a station call to a 'B' side key telephone system(S4), the 'A' side central control circuit transfers call information related to an extension called by a subscriber to a 'B' side key telephone system(S5). If the dialing signal is for an office line call to the 'B' side key telephone system(S6), the 'A' side central control circuit transfers call information related to the office line number called by the subscriber to the 'B' side key telephone system(S7). If the dialing signal is for an office line switching to the 'B' side key telephone system(S8), the 'A' side central control circuit transfers call information related to a switch button and call information related to an extension number called by the subscriber to the 'B' side key telephone system(S9). If the dialing signal is for requesting an exchange service(S10), the 'A' side central control circuit transfers call information related to a function button corresponding to other exchange service to the 'B' side key telephone system(S11).
