<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a call system from a terminal to a party having a terminal and a PSTN telephone connectable to a computer network without knowing the address of the call terminal of the party. SOLUTION: An IP address is assigned to IP telephone equipment 12 of a member B. The IP address is stored on a database 6 in relation with the PSTN telephone number of the member B, and if the IP address is released it is deleted. When the PSTN telephone number of the member B is received from IP telephone equipment 11 of a member A, the database 6 is retrieved and the IP address of the terminal 12 related with the PSTN telephone number is selected. By using this address, call is performed between the terminals 11 and 12. When there is no matched PSTN telephone number or no related IP address, on the other hand, an ISP network 1 and a PSTN 200 are connected by a telephone gateway 4 and the call is performed between the terminal 11 and a PSTN telephone 22.</p> |
