PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine having a heat accumulator to a circuit for engine-cooling water, where improvements in fuel efficiency at cold start time and of warm-up performance by a heat accumulator are achieved easily and compatibly. SOLUTION: Engine-cooling water, supplied from a water pump 2 to an engine 1, is diverted to a first circuit 5 extending to the outside of the engine 1 via the inside of a cylinder head 4, from the inside of a cylinder block 3 and to a second circuit 6 extending from the inside of the cylinder block 3, to the outside of the engine 1. In the inside of the engine 1, a third circuit with a relatively small diameter diverged from the second circuit 6 is connected to the first circuit 5. The engine-cooling water with high temperature is supplied from the heat accumulator 16 on the branch passage 12 to the engine 1 at cold start time of the engine 1, where normally closed valve 7 provided to the second circuit 6 outside the engine 1 is opened.
