The remote control processing method has a number of nodes allowing connection of a number of terminals. Two types of remote control signal are used the first specific to nodes, and the second specific to a terminal. When signals are received from the first remote control the predetermined function is processed at a local node. When signals are received from a second remote control, if it is a target node signal, the signal is transparently transported otherwise it is ignored.
