PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily detect an operating state of a nonvolatile memory when a system breaks down due to a power failure or the like, and recover rapidly and surely the nonvolatile memory to the normal storing state. SOLUTION: In the nonvolatile memory composed of a physical block equipped with a data area 1 and a redundant area 2 as a storage unit, the redundant area 2 comprises a logical block address storage area 3, a precedingly used physical block address storage area 4, and a status information storage area 6. In the logical block address storage area 3, an address of the logical block corresponding to the redundant area 2 is stored. In the precedingly used physical block address storage area 4, the address of the physical block to be erased is stored. In the status information storage area 6, the status information identifying the operating state of each step occurring when the data rewriting operation to the physical block is executed, is stored. |
