PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber light source device that can be operated for a long time using a higher output lamp without causing deterioration of an optical fiber by efficiently making light incident on the optical fiber. SOLUTION: The device is equipped with a lamp 4, a reflector 1 for reflecting and converging light radiated from the lamp 4, an optical fiber 2 on the end face 6a of which the light so reflected and converged is made incident, and a soaking means 6 which averages out the heat absorbed in the optical fiber 2. The soaking means 6 is for promoting heat conduction in the in-plane direction of the incident end face 5 of the fiber and is, for example, a film 6a which is installed on the incident end face 5 of the fiber and which has transparency and heat conductivity. |
