PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computerized distribution method that uses an information processing apparatus, such as a computer, to quickly distribute a document without error in the case of electronically transmitting the document whose transmission is requested by a customer, and to provide an imaging/distribution device used for the method. SOLUTION: After a transparent overlay sheet O, describing a distribution information identifier O1, is placed on each page of a document P on which a document identifier P1 is described, the imaging distribution device reads the entire pages as image information to generate an electronically composited image, discriminates coincidence/dissidence of a correspondence relation between a document identifier Pi of the generated electronically composited image with the distribution information identifier O1 according to prepared distribution reference information in advance and transmits the document correspondence relation, of which both coincide with a pre-identified destination.
