PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner. SOLUTION: An ionizer and a metal filter net set are connected with a high voltage power supply of the same polarity, conductive plates are arranged on the side face of the metal filter net set at an appropriate interval, the ionizer disposed at the air inlet charges air and dust sucked into the air cleaner, and charged dust in the air passing between the metal filter net sets comprising at least a piece of charged metal filter net is repelled by charges of the same polarity in the metal filter net set and pushed toward the conductive plate located closely to the air inlet. The charged dust is attracted to charges of different polarity on the conductive plate thus cleaning the air. Furthermore, charges generated from the high voltage power supply and discharged from an air outlet to the outside bond to foreign matters such as dust, thus accelerating purification and since negative ion supply prevails positive ions, electrostatic charges accumulated in the outer environment or on an article are eliminated. |
