PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a landing hall device of an elevator and a fire protection system having a relatively simple structure, reducing a cost, reducing restriction on a layout, and having high smoke shielding performance and flame shielding performance for surely cutting off intrusion of smoke into a hoistway at fire caused time. SOLUTION: This landing hall device of the elevator has a landing door 1 for allowing boarding-alighting to a riding car from the doorway arranged in a landing hall in a building so as to open toward the hoistway for lifting the riding car, and is provided with a blocking-up plate 10 for blocking up clearance between the doorway and the landing door 1 when a fire is caused in the building.
