PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the lower shell section of a condenser contributive to reduction in the weight of a transportation reinforcing body. SOLUTION: On contrast to a conventional case, the lower shell section 1 is welded, at the front side end part of each supporting plate 91 thereof, directly to the inner side face of the front member 81 of an outer wall body 8 and comprises a reinforcing body 2 having a back side reinforcing body 21 and a bottom face side reinforcing body 22. The back side reinforcing body 21 is made of H-steels, used in place of one lateral reinforcing body 73 being disposed at an upper corner part on the back side of the supporting plate 91 and bonded to the outer wall body 8 by a method similar to that for the lateral reinforcing body 73. The bottom face side reinforcing body 22 is used in place of a bottom face side reinforcing body 72 at the back side corner part of the supporting plate 91 being fixed with a front side suspension metal 41. The bottom face side reinforcing body 22 employs a tubular material having an outside diameter larger than that of the bottom face side reinforcing body 72 and is bonded to the outer wall body 8 by a method similar to that for the bottom face side reinforcing body 72.
