PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel which is capable of obtaining desired display characteristics and qualities, and also preventing noise generation during panel driving without setting of a noise insulating member by making a gap between glass substrates uniform. SOLUTION: In this plasma display panel, a display electrode 12 and a dielectric layer 13 are formed on the convex-side face of a front glass substrate 11 curved to one side in convex-like, while address electrodes 17, a dielectric layer 19, barrier ribs 16, and phosphor layers 18a, 18b and 18c are formed on the convex-side face of a rear glass substrate 15 curved to one side in convex- like, and also a sealing layer 40 of which the sealing material contains granular material 41 is formed on the periphery of the convex-side face of the rear glass substrate 15, and respective panel components of the front panel and the rear panel are disposed in face-to-face, and the substrates are made flat by giving pressure in the directions shown by the arrows on the periphery of the panels, and then the periphery of the panels is heated. |
